Dolores L. Weigle, 85, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Church of God Home, Carlisle. She was born on Tuesday, May 17, 1927, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late James and Fannie (Trostle) Bowermaster and was the widow of Bruce R. Weigle, who died April 10, 1999.

Dolores had worked at several Carlisle area businesses, which included the former Carlisle Shoe Co., Giant Food, Nell’s Shurfine Market, ManorCare Health Services, all of Carlisle and Saylor’s Food Market in Newville, where she was the produce manager. She attended the Middlesex United Methodist Church, Carlisle and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by one son, Douglas A. Weigle and his companion, Margy Thrush of Carlisle, one daughter, Patricia A. Adams of Carlisle, one sister, Mary Kennedy of Carlisle, two grandchildren; Msgt Bryan S. Calaman, USAF and Kathleen E. Rockmore, three great-grandchildren; Gerad and Sarina Calaman and Tristan Rockmore and several nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by brothers; Vincent, Preston, James and Sidney Bowermaster and sisters; Shirley Nestor and Cleo Little.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle, with Rev. Jan Hughes officiating. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Middlesex United Methodist Church, 118 N. Middlesex Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
