Mary Esther Noll, 79, of Carlisle, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 10, 1933, in Mifflin, a daughter of the late William Bailey, Sr. and Pearl (Jumper) Bailey, and was the widow of Robert L. Noll, who died Dec. 12, 2012.

Esther was a homemaker and formerly worked in the cafeteria at Mooreland Elementary School, Carlisle for 15 years. She was a member of Waggoners United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Esther enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and reading. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

She is survived by two daughters; Susan J. Sherman of Lemoyne and Jody Gilbert and her husband, Jerry of Newville, three brothers; William Bailey, Jr. and his wife, Frances of Carlisle, Thomas Bailey and his wife, Carol of Newville and Ralph Bailey and his wife, Ellen of Rehoboth, DE, four sisters; Velma Burkholder of Newville, Janet Griffie and Elsie Clement, both of Carlisle and Dorothy Hosler and her husband, Harry of Newville, two sisters-in-law; Dorothy Stambaugh of Loysville and Pauline Wise of Carlisle, two grandchildren; Tricia Frampton of Carlisle and Nicholas Gilbert of Newville, four great-grandchildren; Rheanna, Morganne and Erinne Frampton and Jordan Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Noll, who died in 1980, brothers; Paul, Joseph, Eugene, Harold and James "Dusty" Bailey, sisters; Kathleen Mixell and Darlene Bailey.

Private funeral services will be held in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Private burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to Waggoners United Methodist Church, 1055 Longs Gap Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
