Robert L. Noll, 85, of Carlisle, passed
away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at home with family by his side. He was born on Thursday, December 16, 1926, in Green
Park, Perry County, a son of the late Chester and Rachel (Peck) Noll. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Korean War. Bob was
a longtime building contractor and land developer in the Carlisle area. He was in charge of developing Noll Acres in Hampton
Twp., Noll Manor in North Middleton Twp. and was a partner with Noll Associates. Bob served on the boards of directors with
many organizations in the area including; Carlisle Area Crime Stoppers, Carlisle Home Builders Assoc., Harrisburg Home Builders
Assoc., PA Home Builders Assoc., National Home Builders Assoc. and the PA Motor Truck Association, where he was a past President
and the first person elected to the President’s Club in 1977. Bob was also a member of many area organizations including;
Carlisle Eagles Aerie 1299, Carlisle White Circle Club, Carlisle American Legion Post 101 and the Family Motor Coach Association.
He was a member of Waggoners United Methodist Church, Carlisle. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 61 years, Mary Esther (Bailey) Noll,
two daughters; Susan Sherman of Lemoyne and Jody Gilbert and husband, Jerry of Newville, two sisters; Dorothy Stambaugh of
Loysville and Pauline Wise of Carlisle, two grandchildren; Tricia Frampton of Carlisle and Nicholas Gilbert of Newville, four
great-grandchildren; Rheanna, Morganne and Erinne Frampton and Jordan Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded
in death by one son, Douglas Noll, who died in 1980. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,
630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor
Guard will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 2 - 4:00 p.m. at the funeral
home and on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Waggoners United Methodist
Church, 1055 Longs Gap Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013 or to Heartland Homehealth & Hospice Services, 1200 Walnut Bottom Rd.,
Carlisle.
