Helen L. Lefevre, 89, formerly of Mechanicsburg,
passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle. She was born on Wednesday, January 31,
1923, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Jacob M. and Bessie M. (Albert) Snyder and was the widow of George C. Lefevre, who
died August 4, 1970. Helen
was a Carlisle High School graduate and retired after many years of service with the former Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg,
where she was a correspondence supervisor. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. Helen was
an avid reader, an accomplished cook and baker, loved all animals, especially her many personal pets and enjoyed feeding and
watching birds. Helen also kept pace with new technology by using a computer, cell phone and electronic book reader. She is survived by two sons; Jeffrey G. (and his wife, Marian) Lefevre of Mechancisburg
and Timothy J. Lefevre of Lemoyne, four grandchildren; Brian (and his wife, Charlotte) Lefevre, Jamie Lynn (and her husband,
Jonathan) Zeppa, Spencer Lefevre and Sarah Lefevre, two great-grandchildren; Gabriel and Penelope Lefevre and several nieces
and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by one son, Christopher J. Lefevre, who died July 19, 1987, one brother, Robert Snyder
and three sisters; Charlotte Wagner, Carolyn Weiser and Sarah DeWalt. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers
Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Guy S. Edmiston officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the
