I had the privilege of meeting Karen only once at the Harrisburg Area Lyme Disease Support Group meeting in Feb. In the time of fellowship shared that evening, I saw the beauty that rested within this woman. While her loss will be mourned by all those that love her, God and others in heaven are smiling because they feel blessed she has arrived. Keeping all family and friends close in thought and prayer. Karen is whole again, cancer and Lyme free.

I worked with Karen at CVHS. She served on the Professional Development Council with me for many years. I always enjoyed being on committees with Karen. She worked hard and had great ideas on how to improve what we did. The last time i saw her was at the HS retirement presentations in June 2011. I did not know she had passed away until this past Sunday. I am so sorry I was not able to come pay my final respects to her and her family. She was a good person to know and I respected her a lot.

Mrs. Gow was my spanish teacher for two years and I always felt like she was more of a friend than anything else. I credit my passion and skill with the language to her selfless dedication as a mentor. She will greatly be missed and my heart goes out to her loved ones. She was an inspiration and a wonderful educator.
