Samuel I. Warner, 90, of Carlisle and Shermans
Dale, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home in Carlisle. He was born on Monday, July 11, 1921, in Carlisle,
a son of the late Samuel Warner and Pearl E. (Mountz) Hartman and was married to the late Cecelia F. (Bridge) Warner, who
passed away on Oct. 29, 2011.Sam
was a longtime farmer. He formerly worked at Frog Switch Manufacturing Co., Carlisle and retired after 29 years of service
with the former Jones Motor Co. He was a member of Teamsters Local 776. Sam formerly attended the Pisgah United Methodist Church in Perry County. He is survived by two daughters; Vivian L. Warner
and Patricia W. (and her husband, Larry) Snyder, both of Carlisle, one son, Richard E. (and his wife, Rudis) Warner also of
Carlisle, two brothers; Clarence J. Hartman of Shippensburg and John D. (and his wife, Eva) Hartman of Carlisle, one sister,
Ethel M. Crozier of Loysville, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his step-father, Clarence F. Hartman and one brother, Paul F. Hartman. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Ewing
Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Wayne Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Young’s
United Methodist Church Cemetery, Shermans Dale. A viewing will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA 17013.

I'll never forget the endearing memories that I have of Sammy. He was a good man.
Sammy left his mark in life in the hearts of everybody that knew him. I will continue to remember Sammy with a smile
and what he had meant to me through the years.
