
Rodger C. Diehl, 71, of Carlisle, passed
away on Sunday, March 18, 2012, in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Wednesday,
December 4, 1940, in York, and was a son of the late Clarence L. and Lillian A. (Ziegler) Diehl. Rodger was a 1958 graduate of Carlisle High School
and retired from Roadway Express after 34 years of service as a truck driver. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 1299, the Elks
Lodge, the Moose Family Center, all of Carlisle and the Local 776 Retirees Club. Rodger attended Carlisle Brethren In Christ
Church and was a former board member of the Teamsters Credit Union. Rodger enjoyed woodworking and taking care of his family
and home. He is survived by his loving
and devoted wife of 50 years, Carolyn R. (Minich) Diehl, two sons; Rodger C. Diehl, Jr. (and his wife, Sharon) of Carlisle
and Steven D. Diehl (and his fiancé, Tiffanie Neal) of Mt. Holly Springs, one daughter,
Connie R. Leiby of Carlisle, one brother, Ray L. Diehl (and his wife, Beth) of Carlisle, two sisters; Dorcas Welsh and Janet
Barnhart (and her husband, Edward), both of York, nine grandchildren; James, Heather, Donnavon, Joshua, Izayah and Skylar
Diehl and T. J., Don and Brittney Leiby and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March
23, 2012, at 11 a.m., in the Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, with Pastor Linda Lambert
officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. Burial will be private.
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests
memorial contributions to The Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA 17013 or to Gideons International, 5014 Carlisle
Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.

A very good man has passed
away. I knew Rodger from his truck route. I would see him from time to time around town and he always had tme to talk. Rest
