
Deborah Kay Gardner, 60, of Enola, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at her home
with her loving family by her side. She was born on Saturday, January 13, 1951, in Carlisle, a daughter of Opal M. (Souder)
Mason of Shiremanstown and the late Jack R. Bass. Deb was a 1969 graduate of Carlisle High School and attended H.A.C.C. She formerly worked as a beautician
at her mother’s beauty salon in Carlisle and was a waitress at the former Deer Lodge Restaurant in Mt. Holly Springs.
She also had driven school bus for the Carlisle Area School District, worked as a real estate agent and for 20 years was a
real estate appraiser. Deb became a Yoga instructor in 2002 and was trained in the Kripalu style and eventually taught in
the TriYoga style. She enjoyed writing her blog at Debsway.net. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 40 years,
Dennis A. Gardner, one son, Jeremy Gardner of Enola, one sister, Pam Warfield of Holly Springs, NC, one niece and five nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 16, 2012, in the
Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Pastor Glen Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt.
Holly Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made
to Pinnacle Health Hospice, Ste. 300, 2645 N. Third St., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to American Cancer Society, Ste. 100, 3211
N. Front St., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
