
Christine A. Hodge, 61, of Carlisle, known
to some as "Chris" and others as "Chrissy", passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Carlisle Regional
Medical Center. She was born on Sunday, January 29, 1950, in Carlisle, the third child of the late Richard "Dick"
and Helena "Nin" (Hinton) Davis.
Chris was a Carlisle High School graduate and she enjoyed being a homemaker.
She was very loving and kind to everyone she met. She loved spending time with her sisters and other family members
to have fun and pass the time in her days spent on earth.
She leaves behind, to bear the sorrow of her passing,
her four children; Richard A. "Chip"Hodge of Carlisle, Janine Y. "Nina" Hodge of Lithonia, GA, and Elelon
E. "Mike" Hodge and Danielle "Rick" Davis, both of Carlisle, her companion and friend of many years,
Russell Mitchell, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. She was preceded
in death by her brother, George Hinton and two sisters; Sharon and Marsha Davis.
Funeral services will be held
at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Rev. Robert
Woodall will officiate. Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private.
A repast will immediately follow the service at the Haines-Stackfield American Legion Post 826, Carlisle.
