
Davina M. (Patino) DeSimone, 89, of
Carlisle and formerly of Shirley, NY and Shippensburg passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, at home with her loving family
by her side. She was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1922, in New Orleans, LA, the oldest of seven children of the late Dominick
and Blanche (Lytell) Patino, and was the widow of Antimo F. DeSimone, who died June 30, 1998, and to whom she was married
for more than 54 years. Davina was
a devoted and loving homemaker and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. Davina’s greatest accomplishment
was bestowing support and unconditional love upon her family. She is survived by two daughters; Madeline Webb and her husband, Robert of Carlisle and Denise Oswald
and her husband, George of East Yaphank, NY, one daughter-in-law, Brenda DeSimone of Carlisle, three grandsons, seven granddaughters,
nine great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters, two sisters; Angelina Brisacone and Rose Pampalone and one brother, Mitchell
Patino. She was also preceded in death by one son, Robert A. DeSimone, Sr., who died Sept. 4, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November
29, 2011, in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle, with Rev. Dwight D. Schlaline officiating. Burial will
be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. Viewing will be held on Monday from 6 - 8:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,
630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, where a Rosary service will be held at 8 p.m.
