I had the pleasure of meeting David as a classmate when I first moved to Carlisle
in Fifth Grade, in 1969, at Hamilton Elementary School. Yeah, he was the blonde kid with the Big Bangs from North West Street,
almost always with a smile, and possibly being up to something...but never anything bad -- just fun. (That doesn't mean
that our teacher, Mr. Fay, didn't notice!) He had a great warm attitude and it was always good to see him. Although I
had not seen Dave since our high school graduation in 1977, I am certain that his life took many interesting turns since that
point. I understand the he worked in helping maintain chimneys -- a working class job if there ever was one, but one that
helped to keep his customers, and their homes, safe. May friends and family find consolation in the good memories of his life.

I want to send my sincere condolences to the entire
Pittenger family on the passing of David. I know how much he meant to you all. David was an awesome friend, classmate, teammate
and a remarkable golfer. I have many great memories of David. He was quite the envy of the male population in Middle school
because he was always dressed so perfectly in the latest styles. He often told me he had his sisters to thank for that. Mr
Pittenger, David's father and his older brother Steven were also the topic of discussion during our bus rides together
to away wrestling matches. He many times we would reflect on their support and guidance as a major role in his great attitude
about life. He was always positive and I can't ever remember seeing him without a smile on his face. I will miss
him terribly, but, I am really greatful I had the chance to experience some of the more important life experiences with him.
On behalf of the entire Saporito Family we send our heart felt Condolences!

It is always surprising to learn of the passing of one so young. As a classmate and wrestling teammate,
I spent countless hours with 'Pitt', our 98 pounder, who always amazed me that he made weight. I
echo the words of Dave 'Sap' Saporito. May God's grace fall upon all of Pitt's family as you remember
his life.

To Patti and Kathi and all the Pittinger family,
I
graduated with David -- moving to Carlisle in high school it was difficult to make new friends -- as others have said; David
always had a smile and was kind. We had a homeroom together and he always spoke to me and made me feel welcome. Mr. &
Mrs. Pittinger did a great job raising their five children, as Kathi and Patti were just as kind to me when I met them. Requiem
in pace David.
Tamara Hutchison _______________
