
John P. Fernbaugh, 79, of Carlisle, passed away
Thursday, October 13, 2011, at his home. He was born on Thursday, February 11, 1932, in Mechanicsburg, a son of the late Charles
P. and Ruby Ann (Stitzel) Fernbaugh. John was retired from Harrisburg Dairies and the Stroehman Bakery. He served in the US Army during the Korean
War, and was a member of American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg, the Mechanicsburg Club and V.F.W. Post 477, Carlisle. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Nancy L. (Beam) Fernbaugh,
two sons; John S. (and his wife, Carolyn) Fernbaugh of Dillsburg and Timothy L. (and his wife, Leisa) Fernbaugh of Mechanicsburg,
one daughter, Traci A. (and her husband, Lee) Shughart of Carlisle, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in
the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from
9:30 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 98 S. Enola
Dr., Enola, PA 17025.
